Cardiotoxicity

Cardiac risk assessment is an essential component of the drug discovery and development process, especially in cases where patients will be prescribed multiple drugs. CRO service providers evaluate cardiotoxicity via drug-drug interactions by measuring hERG activity, assaying CYP3A4 and other CYP450 isozymes, and performing ion channel screens.

If you have a question about cardiac toxicity models, click on the orange Request button on the right side of the page to request information from one or more expert CROs.

Scroll down to browse services for hERG patch clamp screens, action potential kinetic screens, and ion channel profiling, among others. Use the filters on the left to refine the list and then click on any listing to view technical information or to ask a question.

Click on the Vendors tab to view a complete list of CROs that offer cardiotoxicity services.
